  14. Sarrus Announces Pencil Me In 1.2 Support for NEXTSTEP for PA-RISC
  15. Competitive Upgrade Program and International Versions Available

  17. FOSTER CITY, Calif., June 21, 1994 __ Sarrus Software, Inc. today announced
  18. that the upcoming release of Pencil Me Ini, its popular group scheduling
  19. application for NEXTSTEP, will run on NEXTSTEP for PA-RISC.  The new release,
  20. Pencil Me In 1.2, will be available in German-, French-, and Swedish-language
  21. versions and will support European date and time fomats, including 24-hour
  22. time.  Pencil Me In 1.2  is scheduled to ship in mid-August.  Sarrus also
  23. announced a competitive upgrade program for users of other group scheduling
  24. products on NEXTSTEP, along with details of its upgrade
  25. program for current Pencil Me In customers.

  33. Through August 31, 1994, registered owners of qualifying competitive group
  34. scheduling products on NEXTSTEP can upgrade to Pencil Me In for only $49.95 per
  35. user.  Qualifying competitive products include OnDutyi, What's Happening?i,
  36. Who's Calling?i, and many Windows-based products.  Contact the company for

  49. The Pencil Me In API is a software library that gives custom applications the
  50. ability to launch and control the Pencil Me In application; create and work
  51. with Pencil Me In calendars, appointments, and action items; and set calendar
  52. access levels for Pencil Me In users.  Because of this close integration and
  53. because of Pencil Me In's powerful, multi-user architecture, networked users
  54. of both Pencil Me In and custom applications can operate on the same calendar
  55. files without interruption or corruption of scheduling data.

  58. Pencil Me In 1.2 and the Pencil Me In API require NEXTSTEP 3.1 or higher for
  59. Intel Processors, NEXTSTEP 3.1 or higher for NeXT Computers, or NEXTSTEP 3.2 for
  60. PA-RISC.  Pencil Me In 1.2 is a Multiple Architecture Binary, and the same
  61. version runs unmodified on any of these three systems.

  63. Pricing, Availability, API Licensing, and Upgrades
  64. For a limited time, Sarrus is offering a special promotional price for Pencil
  65. Me In.  Through August 31, 1994, customers can purchase Pencil Me In for only
  66. $225 per user and save 25% off the regular price.  When Pencil Me In 1.2 is
  67. released, customers who have purchased Pencil Me In 1.1 under this program will
  68. automatically be upgraded to Pencil Me In 1.2 at no additional cost.

  70. Registered owners of Pencil Me In will receive the upgrade to 1.2 automatically
  71. at no additional cost.   Owners of Pencil Me In who have not yet registered
  72. must return their registration cards no later than August 31, 1994 in order
  73. to receive the free upgrade to 1.2.  After August 31, 1994, the upgrade will
  74. cost $19.95 per user, direct from Sarrus.
